I brought my car in for an engine light. They found the problem and fixed it. But after my experience listed below, I found out I was charged more than triple the cost for the part they replaced. The repair cost me $1362. They were also going to repair a coolant leak. First, they said the initial cost was $600. Then, I got a call and was told the price was now $1100. They told me the price could go as high as $3500 if they found another leak. I called AAA to tow my car to another shop. The cost and explanation made no sense. At this point, I no longer trust them. The other shop I went to fixed it by the next morning for $532. They replaced the thermostat housing, 2 hoses, and the expansion tank. Had I not moved my business to another shop, my total experience would have cost me more than $4362 after taxes. And a 3.5% payment fee had I paid by credit or debit card. They got the $1300 from me the first time. As they say, ... fool me twice, shame on me.

We have used Sav-Mor for the past several years and officially became lifetime customers after an experience this week. We are trying not to put anymore money into our daughter's 2002 hand-me-down Lexus. The car is not holding a charge and after assessing the vehicle, Sav-Mor let us know that the alternator was faulty. They went on to say that the alternator appeared very new but they had not done the work. They even researched the report to help us narrow down where we'd had that work done so we could tow it to the other shop and have it replaced under warranty! Wow - this honesty and looking out for our best interest really sets this business apart. We highly recommend!

I wanted a very specific job done without all of the other ""surprises"" other shops have sprung on me in the past that come out as a list of work and costs that I cannot afford. I told the customer service guy as much when I checked-in for a quote. I was also wary that ""things"" often seem to go wrong coincidentally after a mechanic visit.
